Gently squeeze the fruit – there should be slight give, as peaches are prone to bruising easily.
Look for deep golden hues with minimal green tones - this indicates true ripeness. If green is present, they were picked too early.
Ripe peaches can continue to develop off the vine; store them at room temperature away from sunlight until ready to enjoy.
To ext their freshness post-ripe, keep them refrigerated where they'll last for about five days.

Summer Peach Recipes
Ingredients:
4 Naan flatbreads e.g., Stonefire Mini Naan
12 cup ricotta cheese
1 tablespoon honey
1 peach, thinly sliced
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Balsamic glaze
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a small bowl, mix ricotta and honey. Spread the mixture evenly on each Naan flatbread. Top with sliced peaches and bake for about 15-25 minutes until ter. Finish off with basil ribbons and balsamic glaze as desired.
Ingredients:
2 peaches
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon brown sugar
18 cup quick-cooking oats
A dash of cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter
Vanilla ice cream optional
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut peaches in half and remove the pits.
Place peach halves cut-side up in a baking dish. Mix flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon together; then use your hands or a fork to bl in the butter for a crumble topping. Add this mixture over each peach half. Bake until soft, about 20-30 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired.
